We must discover our own truth...
This is mine: In 2000, I left a lucrative career in sunny Nevada, healthy bank account, beautiful condo and zero debt to attend massage school, why? ... because it felt right. Being from a rather uptight Catholic background in New England, I knew nothing of bodywork, energy, nor healing work. As my co-workers, friends and family cringed, I confidently quit my job, rented a room, took out a school loan and attended massage school full-time. For the first time in my life, I felt a kinship and oneness with those around me, we had all been drawn to this vocation and each other under , what seemed incredible circumstances. After graduation, I took a job at the prestigious 5-star Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay California, and realized how grateful I was to have listened to my inner voice.
As it happens, the Universe wasn't content with my living in beautiful weather for long nor romping in the Pacific Ocean with Poochie so I returned to my home state of Rhode Island to open my own practice... because it felt right. After 3 years of building a thriving massage practice and introducing bodywork to many, clients started asking about the work I learned and practiced out West. I obliged. The recent taboo of "energy work" and "intuitive healing" was now receiving a welcomed response by my trusting clientele. Doctors, mothers, and business people alike started confiding their own life stories of out-of-body experiences, psychic abilities and paranormal events that I had never heard them tell. I could see there was an opening, an awakening of sorts taking place right before my eyes on my massage table. All body-workers know that muscle and the energy body hold memory, this appeared bigger to me, it was a remembering of sorts that opened both my client's and my eyes and abilities. People started being referred for energy work and subtle intuitive guidance. My motto was: tell me what you want and I'll tell you what you need. Intuitively, while working on a body, I would know what the spirit needed as well, sometimes not something I could give: meditation, nutritional changes, acupuncture. I started sending some clients away to take the next step! (not the best advise for a small practice but, you guessed it... it felt right.) I realized my soul's purpose as a 'guide'. While most have a bit of many archetypes there is one that is predominant is all of us. I was very pleased to finally have a name for this desire to be in service to others my whole life.
I soon received an impromptu reading from a well-known medium; (um no, I did not seek out the message) my message: "you are on the right path, but you are blind". I had no idea what this meant... I pondered the message and realized at least I was on the right path, so the seeing must be coming. For the next few years, I intuitively gave clients what they needed, the results were amazing, this, I had not learned in massage school. I learned to trust that inner knowing and felt very blessed to have such open clients. My metaphoric blindness was soon healed while attending a Reconnection seminar (one version of using Universal energy to heal). I saw clearly what had always been foggy in the past. I recalled all the events that had mattered in my life: a near fatal car accident, the euphoric feeling of starting to "pass over", The "pull" to move out West in the first place, the psychic dreams, knowing feelings and incredible synchronicity that had always led me to safety and the right choices, incredible connections with many animals and humans. I had a sense of urgency, that something important and huge was coming (I just didn't know what), the sense that I had an important purpose to serve (as we all do). My life completely changed and didn't at all at the same time.
There's two ways one develops. One way is; you consciously choose too, start to learn and then it comes. The other way is.. it comes, then you learn what it is. The latter is the way I have and am very much still developing all these wonderful senses and skills that we all have and that many are becoming aware of with the shift of energy on our earth. As we are all moving towards higher frequencies, we are becoming more and more aware of our many talents and connection with all. There is a "knowing" that happens if I am to work with someone (called clair-reckoning). My trust lies within, no one can teach you or me that inner knowledge. I can, however, help guide you to recognizing it.
While we all have these abilities, I recognize mine as part of my life's purpose to serve others. I realize it has all been developing over many lifetimes and still is. I am genuinely interested in your spiritual growth and healing. I know it to be my mission so surely that I followed my inner voice (yet again) down South where I am continuing my learning and trusting my inner source to guide me. Whether it comes from a reading, a connection, a book, a conversation, or interaction with another, you will discover your own truth through your personal experience. I just hope you're paying attention. But don't worry if you're not, you'll keep getting 'signs' until you do.
Here's a hint... it will feel right.
